This is one of three tools dedicated to keeping history, it is responsible for saving closed forex trades.

The tool keeps as much data as possible for each closed trade, including risk & target from both money management and brokerage account point of views, making it easy to recall the exact situation when that trade was taken.

While trading in the forex market, dejavu moments are frequent and it can be very helpful to go back and check the trade that triggered the dejavu feeling, by using this tool it will be easy to pinpoint any previous trade and study its output to help with the current trade.

This page will cover everything regarding this tool in details, covering the data flow, and the tool's contents and structure. All screenshots used will show just the part of the tool being explained, a native screenshot for the tool as a whole can be viewed/saved using the link above.

Forex trading setups are created in any of the different trading tools and imported into "Active Trades" tool when you decide to place a pending order for that trade. When a trade is closed, all collected data for that trade will be automatically saved into this tool. Saved trades can be deleted directly from within the tool, if needed.

In-depth demonstration for the tool's contents

The tool consists of 4 main parts, 1: Sorting which is used to sort saved forex trades with up to three conditions, 2: Trade setup which will show the main tracking and technical details for trades, 3: Trade output which will show output of trades (profit/loss) and its effect on money management, 4: Trade details which will show everything for a specific trade, including tracking and technical details, its effect on brokerage account and money management, and its effect on the trading cycle it was traded within.

The screenshots in this page are showing the last 10 trades in the trading cycle used to demonstrate all the tools, and the "trade details" shows the last closed trade for checkpoint #9.

3 levels sorting

Sorting of saved forex trades can be done with up to three conditions that can be selected from he available drop-down menus.

This three levels depth makes it super easy to pinpoint any specific trade, as well as studying and analyzing data as needed. For example, to know which harmonic pattern gave the best profit for a specific timeframe, trades can be sorted using "originated by" as the primary sorting option to stack harmonic trades together, and "timeframe" as the secondary sorting option to stack that timeframe, and finally select "P/L (MM)" in descending order to put the most profitable harmonic trades on top.

The first part of trade setup shows "tracking details" for 10 trades per page, the data here is simplified to show all the common values that can help in filtering the history as needed.

  • Cycle#: trading cycle's reference which the trade was taken at.
  • CP#: active checkpoint reference which the trade was taken at.
  • #: trade's reference that was automatically assigned to the trade when it was closed.
  • Broker: brokerage account preset that was selected when creating the trade.
  • Traded pair: traded pair as selected in "Active Trades" tool.
  • Originated by: tool which originated the trade, if the trade is imported from a harmonic tool it will show the harmonic pattern reference.
  • Activation: date of importing the trade into "Active Trades" tool.
  • Closure: date of closing the trade in the "Active Trades" tool.

The second part of trade setup shows "technical details" and risk/profit from the money management perspective for 10 trades per page, the data here is simplified to show all the common values that can help in filtering the history as needed.

  • Type: trade's direction, either long or short.
  • Size: position size of the trade.
  • Entry rate: entry rate of the trade.
  • Risked (MM): amount of sustainable risk from money management perspective, in cash and percentage with respect to the active checkpoint at the time of the trade.
  • Expected (MM): amount of target profit from money management perspective, in cash and percentage with respect to the active checkpoint at the time of the trade.

This part shows the final outcome of the trade, showing the traded pips and effect of the trade from the money management perspective.

  • P/L: shows the outcome of the trade, either profit or loss.
  • P/L (pips): shows the total pips traded.
  • P/L (MM): shows the amount of profit or loss from money management perspective, in cash and percentage with respect to the active checkpoint at the time of the trade.

The first part of trade details shows tracking & technical data for any selected trade, in more details than those shown in the 10 filtered trades in the trade setup table. Selected trades can be deleted from here.

  • Trade#: trade number reference that was automatically assigned to the trade when it was closed.
  • Delete trade: permenantly delete the trade from history, confirmation required.
  • Cycle# / CP#: trading cycle & checkpoint references which the trade was taken at.
  • Originated by: tool which originated the trade, if the trade is imported from a harmonic tool it will show the harmonic pattern reference.
  • Activation date: date & time of importing the trade into "active trades" tool.
  • Closure date: date & time of closing the trade in the "Active Trades" tool.
  • Traded using: brokerage acount preset name used while creating the trade.
  • Broker's order#: order reference number with the broker, as entered in "Active Trades" tool.
  • Account currency: base currency of selected brokerage account.
  • Traded pair: traded pair as selected in "Active Trades" tool.
  • Entry rate: entry rate of the trade.
  • Order type: trade's direction, either long or short.
  • Position size: position size of the trade.
  • Pip value: pip value according to the entry rate and position size.
  • R:R: reward/risk ratio for the trade setup.

The second part of trade details shows the planned sustainable loss & target profit from both brokerage account and money management perspectives.

  • Planned TP: take profit rate and pip distance from entry.
  • Expected profit (broker): target profit in cash with respect to selected brokerage account's base currency.
  • Expected profit % (broker): target profit percentage with respect to selected brokerage account's balance.
  • Expected profit (MM): target profit in cash with respect to trading cycle's base currency.
  • Expected profit % (MM): target profit percentage with respect to checkpoint's initial balance.
  • Planned SL: stop loss rate and pip distance from entry.
  • Risked cash (broker): sustainable loss in cash with respect to selected brokerage account's base currency.
  • Risked cash % (broker): sustainable loss percentage with respect to selected brokerage account's balance.
  • Risked cash (MM): sustainable loss in cash with respect to trading cycle's base currency.
  • Risked cash % (MM): sustainable loss percentage with respect to checkpoint's initial balance.

The third and last part of trade details shows the actual outcome of the trade and its effect on the trading balance, the values shown here can be different from the planned values if the trade was closed using a rate different than either of one of the planned rates.

  • Actual closure: actual closing rate of the trade.
  • Trade output: shows the outcome of the trade, either profit or loss.
  • Traded pips: shows the total pips traded.
  • Balance change: shows the amount of cash profit or loss, with respect to trading cycle's dominant currency.
  • Balance change %: shows the percentage of profit or loss, with respect to checkpoint's initial balance.
