detailed data flow from/to forex "Trading Cycles" history keeping tool

A forex trading cycle is originally created either using "Step-by-Step" or "Custom Plan" tool, once activated it will be monitored using "Checkpoints" tool. When a trading cycle is completed either by trading through all the planned checkpoints or by getting closed early, both the money management plan's settings and the data collected through the life-span of the cycle will be saved into this tool.

A copy of the money management plan for any saved trading cycle can be loaded back into its originating tool, where it can be activated exactly as it is (for example if it was profitable and an exact replica of that plan is needed), or edited to fine-tune the money management settings for the next trading cycle.

TOOL'S CONTENTS & STRUCTURE

In-depth demonstration for the tool's contents

The tool consists of 3 main parts, that will be discussed thoroughly in this section. 1: Sorting which is used to sort saved forex trading cycles with up to three conditions, 2: Cycle setup which shows the money management plan setup and the trading cycle's output, and finally 3: Cycle details which shows all the collected details for money management and traded checkpoints.

Usually, the tool displays results for 10 forex trading cycles in the "cycle's setup" part of the tool. However, the screenshots below shows the tool's state after saving a single trading cycle, which we did on purpose to keep all the different in-depth pages based on a single trading cycle so that the seamless link between the different tools can be easily followed and understood.

SORTING

Forex "Trading Cycles" history keeping tool in-depth: 3 levels sorting

3 levels sorting

Sorting of saved trading cycles can be done with up to three conditions that can be selected from he available drop-down menus.

This three levels depth makes it super easy to pinpoint any specific trading cycle, as well as studying and analyzing data as needed. For example, to study the performance of all forex trading cycles that used USD as the dominant currency and fixed percentage as risk type, "Risk" can be selected as primary sorting option to stack all the cycles with fixed percentage risk type together, and "Currency" as secondary sorting option to stack all USD based trading cycles together, and select "Profit/Loss (perc)" as tertiary sorting to arrange those filtered trading cycles according to their output.
